This one deserves a spot—and a story—on the grid. We got in line for Space Mountain tonight, prepared to wait for an hour to ride. As we crossed the outside of the dome, I called out to the Cast Member walking across the launch pad and asked if she would take our photo. I expected she was going to come to our side of the ropes, but she unhooked the chain and invited us inside. After snapping a couple of shots, she said “grab your bags! I’m going to put you in the Lightning Lane!” We were stunned! We shared that we’re WDW veterans and this was our first time at disneyland. “Oh, you’re going to love our Space Mountain!” Our 1 hour wait turned into about 10 minutes. Shocking no one, we loved it. But what *was* shocking is that she was waiting for us when we got off the ride to hear what we thought and to hand us a magnet “from the west coast Space Mountain.” Jessica (who loves Dug), you are a magic maker.
