56 years. Interracial marriage has only been legal in all 50 states for 56 years. Most of us have parents older than that. Plenty of people walk the earth who can remember 1967. Mildred and Richard Loving fought for years for the right for families like ours to exist and be recognized as equal and valid under the law. I’m grateful. Forever.
