One year ago I got the chance to save a life by donating my bone marrow, here's how 👇 This process started 4 years ago when the @trentu_lacrosse team and I swabbed our mouths after a practice. This was in support of our teammate @johnny.lynch67 who was battling cancer at the time. 2 years later I received a call saying I am a potential match and asked if I still wanted to donate. I didn’t really know what the procedure would be like but without looking too much into it I said yes. From that call, it took about 6 months to get a variety of blood tests done to make sure I was healthy enough and the right fit for the patient. When I was told it was going to be a bone marrow donation I started to look up the procedure.
