It's National Bald Eagle Appreciation Day! We love our Auburn Eagles, here's some fun facts about Spirit and Indy. SPIRIT -> Spirit became an ambassador for Bald Eagles after being deemed non-releasable due to her damaged beak. -> She made 47 pre-game flights before retiring from flight duties. -> Spirit's last flight was before the Auburn vs. Mississippi State game on November 13th, 2021. INDY -> Indy joined the center in 2018 after a wing injury in a Florida rehabilitation center. Despite healing, she imprinted on people during her time in rehab, making her non-releasable. -> She made her debut pre-game flight in September 2021 and has flown before three Auburn Tiger football games. -> She is the second Bald Eagle to participate in the tradition, following Spirit.
