During the HBO documentary ‘Jagged’ alanis Morissette discloses she was raped by multiple men as a teenager over 30 years ago. Back in early 2020, she stated during an interview with The Sunday Times, “It (#MeToo) hasn’t begun in the music industry. Almost every woman in the music industry has been assaulted, harassed, raped. It’s ubiquitous - more in music, even, than film.” What Alanis says about not coming forward years ago in ‘Jagged’ is extremely important: “Me not telling specific information about my experience as a teenager was almost solely around wanting to protect.
