You can call me Professor Mallozzi now too! 💜 The amazing experiences that I keep having in this world because of DANCE and my pursuit in creating Bare Feet continue to overwhelm me in the best way possible. 13 years ago, when I first had the idea of Bare Feet, I also had this idea to pursue a Dance Anthropology career in academia, and at the time, I decided to go with the crazy TV show idea…I’m glad I did. But creating a course and a program with dance as a means of communication never left me. However, I always believed I wouldn’t be able to do both - at some point, I would have to retire from my Bare Feet days to start the path of academia. I’m glad I was wrong. When I was asked to become an Alumni Advisory Board Member to Dean Jack Knott at nyusteinhardt, my alma mater at nyuniversity, it was a huge honor for me!
