The jserra.girlsvb team produced the best season in school history this fall, and three members of the team have been honored by CIF. Lions senior Jessica Bates was selected as the CIF-SS Division 2 Player of the Year. The UC Irvine bound senior captain was the pacesetter for the Lions, who won the CIF-SS Division 2 championship, the first CIF title in school history. Bates led the Lions in service aces and assists this season. Lions senior Tatum Johnson also earned all CIF-Division 2 First Team honors, as the University of Colorado commit led the team in blocks and hitting percentage this season.
