* I'll be chrome for Christmas 🎄😜 Chrome nails using ONLY regular nail polishes! 💅💅💅 ... by @nailsbypaular ♥️ —— silver so, so many of you have asked if it’s possible to do a chrome mani w/o using gel and now i can confidently say.. YES, IT IS! ♥️ — here is a more detailed tutorial: 1) apply 1-2 coats of black nail polish, let it dry fully. 2) apply a coat of a thicker top coat (i’m going to link everything i used in an IG highlight!) and let it dry for about 3-5 minutes, so it’s not fully dry, but doesn’t easily smudge. 3) gently but generously rub in the chrome powder with an eyeshadow sponge until the whole nail is coated. 4) let the top coat dry fully (wait about 5-10 minutes to be safe) and brush away any excess powder. 5) apply a *water-based* top coat over the chrome to seal it in! It’s important to use a water-based one, because it makes the chrome more mirror-like while a regular top coat makes it look more matte! 🩶 keep in mind that these might not last super long...
