The softness in his small moments In every lesson, we have good and bad moments. We have some stiff parts of the lesson, either rider or the horse, and sometimes you have a moment of absolute softness where you sit in the right spot, and a horse is just moving right. This is the moment where you stop. Praise your horse, maybe even praise yourself. After all, riding is a partnership between the rider and the horse, We all like praise and hearing that we did something well, and in these breaks, we acknowledge to our horse. 🤎 I like the softness, and this is the right answer: releasing the pressure and giving it a moment - this is the moment we train. Not endlessly drilling the same repetition/ movement without acknowledging the improvement. It will probably make your horse tired and confused and search for different answers, offering you different options. If you show up as your best self, the horse will respond in kind, resulting in an enjoyable experience for both the ride...
