Mondays in April - KONA Live at the Bootleg Theater now streaming on all platforms! . . In 2017 @_kingkona asked me if I would come and play drums in her band for an April residency at the @bootlegtheater and I said yes, but had no idea the type of impact that month would have on me. . . Going in to those shows my mental health was, to keep it short, not great. But everything we accomplished during this run (rehearsals, finishing Taras first EP, the shows themselves) and most importantly the people around at the time uplifted me more than I could possibly express in an IG post. The energy from the KONA band, the crew at the rehearsal/studio space, all the artists that performed and everyone who came out to the shows was truly special. . . The Bootleg sadly closed last year, but we had these recordings archived so we polished them up to share that night with anyone who wants to listen. . .
