Janice Bright was an incredible student-athlete pioneer at Jewell, lettering in cross country, basketball and track and field. She was a conference champ in the 880 and 3-mile run, and was the first Black woman in Jewell history to be an honorable mention All-America honoree on the basketball court in 1985.
