Meet our final #FacultyAward finalist, Elliott Yoakum! 👋🏽 This #OxbridgeHonorsProgram Literature and Theory major was fully immersed in his University of Oxford year of study at Mansfield College. Along with his tutorials, he was selected for the St. John’s Chapel Choir, participated in the #LGBT society and was engaged in local events, such as lectures at #OxfordsHumanRightsInstitute. He enjoyed excursions outside England, such as Morocco, Poland and Portugal. The Russian-born Elliott has always had an interest in experiencing global cultures firsthand. During summer 2018, he volunteered on two different organic farms in France. 🌎 At Jewell, he delved into world literature, critical theory, interdisciplinary humanities and women’s studies. Within his English major, he attended the MLA convention, presented a paper at the #NationalUndergraduateLiteratureConference and was accepted to present at the #SigmaTauDelta English Honor Society National Convention (canceled due to COVID-19)....
