BC-born soccer legend Christine Sinclair has decided to retire from Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team at the end of 2023. Come December, CANWNT will play at home in BC for Sinclair’s last international series. The iconic forward will continue playing in the NWSL for the Portland Thorns throughout 2024. Although Sinclair isn’t a #MadeInOntario athlete, we must pay homage to the career of the most influential and impactful soccer star in Canadian history. She’s the player with the most Canada goals of any man or woman worldwide. Captaining Canada at multiple Olympic games and FIFA World Cups, Sinclair’s talent and leadership has inspired multiple generations of soccer players all over the planet. #ThanksSinc, and best of luck in your future endeavors both on and off the field.
