Today, on #RowansLawDay, we remember Rowan Stringer and the impact she’s had on Ontario’s concussion safety law. Rowan Stringer was a high school rugby player who died at age 17 due to second impact syndrome. It is believed that Rowan experienced three concussions during the week of her death, but neither she, her parents, nor Coaches had any idea. As a result of her tragic passing, Rowan’s Law was established, which mandates annual concussion education for athletes, parents, coaches and team officials in Ontario.
