Did you know that as plastics break down, they are consumed by the smallest organisms in the ocean, which are eaten by some of the largest? Students in @PC_artdepartment’s Sculpture I class constructed a whale and took it on a trip through campus to raise awareness of the impact of single-use plastics on ocean life. The project was supported by the Department of Art and Art History, @PCgalleries, PC’s sustainability committee, and ECOPC (@PCGoGreen), the college’s club for environmental education and action.
