BREAKING: Our OLReign have re-signed midfielder Olivia Athens through the 2024 NWSL season, the club announced today. Athens is unprotected ahead of tomorrow's expansion draft. Since Athens first signed with OL Reign ahead of the 2022 season, the UCLA graduate has totaled 22 appearances and recorded two goals, 46 duels won, 16 tackles won and nine chances created, across all NWSL competitions. The second-year midfielder started in all six matches of group play during the 2023 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup, finishing with one goal and the third-most tackles won (12) in the league to help the club advance as the No. 1 overall seed.
