#OpticaFoundation Challenge winner Ying Xue, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, will use the grant to address the growing demand for bandwidth by introducing a novel integration method called lateral aspect ratio trapping. Xue's work will enable the integration of electronics and photonics on the same chip, supporting the next generation of datacom and telecom.
