Sheesh. What a week for mls. First the board of governors rejects all serious options for increasing spending and improving quality. Now the league pulls out of opencup. Knee jerk reaction is huge letdown. Pussyfooting it on roster rules is especially disappointing. Messi is here. Billionaire owners galore. Quality keeps rising. League is stable. The time to release (some of) the brakes and take the next step is NOW. Sigh. I donno. I’m all ears for explanations on why this has been a step in the right direction. Thots?
