The Bulldogs of Grant High School defeated the Grayslake North Knights last week in Northern Lake County Conference play. The East Gym was one of the coolest venues I've ever shot in, with tight baselines and the bleachers almost "on top" of the court. Sure the lighting was a challenge and we had to shoot at 1/400 with 8000ISO in some spots - but it was a great reminder that not every gig is going to be perfect. Lighting changes, colors shift, night games mean not every part of the playing surface will be consistently illuminated, and sometimes the refs block your shot. It's part of the gig.
