Athlete spotlight: Carlie Cooper of atlantarisecc
Carlie is a PhD student in the McBee Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia, where she is studying how to make engineering more inclusive for underrepresented students.
She found cycling when she decided to join her husband on rides back when they first met. After that, she fell in love with the Athens riding community and racing and hasn’t looked back. When she isn’t studying or training, I love cooking good meals and spending time with her dog and husband.
