From the screens to the sidelines. 👏 • Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf got to meet his American Sign Language teacher Darrell Utley in person for the first time today ahead of the Seahawks Titans game. 🤩 • The wide receiver invited Utley to join him on the field before his Christmas Eve game at Nissan Stadium. 🥹 • Utley lives in Tennessee and has been teaching Metcalf, who lives on the other side of the country, through Zoom. 💻 • The receiver has been using ASL in his touchdown celebrations this season as a way to trash talk without penalty, but also to raise awareness for the language. 🗣️ • Metcalf has shared that learning ASL has helped him see how he can bring awareness to the deaf community and teach those around him something new. 🔥 • We can’t wait to see what Metcalf signs during today’s game. 👀 #thegist • #menssports #football
