The Indianola Board of Aldermen voted 4-1 to reinstate small town Mississippi police Sgt. Greg Capers. On May 20, Sgt. Capers mistakenly shot and seriously injured 11-year-old Aderrien Murry while he was responding to a domestic disturbance call at the child’s home. When we met earlier this year, Aderrien showed me the hole in his chest where he was shot. He still suffers from anxiety everyday. On Thursday, Aderrien was there to hear Sgt. Capers be reinstated, effective immediately.
