A Hy-Vee florist traded grocery store shifts for the White House this holiday season. Elisa Kahler spent her Thanksgiving week decorating the people's house with hundreds of fellow volunteers. Kahler first started working at hyvee part-time when her now-adult children also worked at the Boone store. For a few days, Kahler was a White House interior designer — not a Hy-Vee floral designer.
