During the party and cook-out, the group celebrated the tournament and heard a poetry reading from New Zealand Poet Laureate chrisjtse! 😍 “It was so important to me that we expose our poet-athletes to the incredible world of women’s soccer. Before the embassy visit, we hosted an internal World Cup tournament, where campers learned about the two host countries and participating teams,” says Saede Eifrig, Associate Programs Manager. “The party was an incredible opportunity for poet-athletes to showcase their knowledge and ask more questions. It was a blast watching them work together as teammates with the embassy staff!”
