Of all the great things that happened for me in 2023, receiving this award was one of the biggest highlights. I’m so grateful to my hometown of Eagle Rock, California, for awarding me its highest civic honor. Anyone who has ever met me knows how proud I am to be from Northeast LA. This “Soaring Eagle Award” is reserved for distinguished alumni of Eagle Rock Jr./Sr. High School. It’s an absolute honor to know that I’m seen as an example of what can be achieved when you come from where I come from.
