3 things I’ve learned this year as a photographer/filmmaker!
1. Niche-ing down isn’t a necessity- Whether you’re portrait photographer, travel videographer, or an analogue only creator, those details can help you stand out in the crowd and connect you with those looking for or creating work similar to yours.
However I’ve never been one for niches, and recently I’ve been seeing other creatives experience “niche fatigue”, people are tired of putting themselves in boxes just to have reach on the algorithm!
Seriously, you don’t have to, those who truly value your work will see past the labels you put on it, especially if you’ve already established a good online presence.
Just remember, it’s your art, don’t sacrifice your message for anybody, especially a computer algorithm.
