The Online Sexual Exploiation of Children (OSEC) has become alarmingly more widespread recently. In 2022, the CyberTipline, operated by the National Center for Mission and Exploited Children, received a staggering 31.8 million reports of child sexual abuse material, child sex trafficking, and online enticement—a 47% increase since 2020. These reports came from Electronic Service Providers we use daily such as Facebook, Google, Instagram, Snapchat, and WhatsApp. For several years, Dressember has supported International Justice Mission’s work to end the OSEC in the Philippines. IJM’s Center to End OSEC leverages and shares effective practices and knowledge to enhance justice system and private sector responses to online sexual exploitation, resulting in sustainable child protection and offender accountability.
