Every year during this week between Christmas and the New Year, I set aside some time to reflect on the previous year and to set intentions (not goals)for the year ahead. Today, I am working on setting personal, professional, health, and spiritual intentions for myself and I’m already feeling energized and inspired! I also like to set a word for myself each year. The word for 2024 is PRESENCE. I am a goal-driven person with a lot of irons in the fire. I have found that I don’t take the time to truly celebrate victories and joyful moments because I’m too busy rushing to the next thing. As a working mom with multiple businesses, I’m constantly being pulled in a million different directions, leaving me racked with guilt and exhaustion. I want this to be the year that I really take the time to be present where I am at that moment and to feel and experience the beautiful moments in life.
