Your eyes may have been feeling more tired over the past few days. Because of the weather in the UK right now, it’s been quite tricky to get outside. As such, there’s been quite a lot of indoor activities. Watching Christmas TV/Films; playing on new games consoles and devices; snuggling up and reading the new book that Santa brought and the usual social media scrolling to see what everyone else has been up to.
All of these activities require the eyes to concentrate and focus intently. If done for long periods without breaks, these activities can make your eyes feel quite tired.
Taking breaks to look in the far distance can really help your eyes to feel better if they’re strained. Looking at something far away, rather than close-up, does not require the same effort by the eye muscles so they ‘relax’.
