James started running to support his pediatric cancer patients. After witnessing the courage it took for these kids and their families to weather the fight, he started running 5Ks to raise funds and awareness on their behalf.
He found that caring for a patient requires more than just medicine. True care requires community.
“The running community is both a global and local network that provides support, hope, and the avenues to raise awareness for many different types of causes, including pediatric cancer. The most compelling is that it provides opportunities for kids to engage with other people who are passionate for their cause, participate in healthy forms of activities, and be proactive in tackling their illnesses,” says James.
