I’m so excited to share that past weekend we hosted our 2023 holiday party in New York City, bringing together my entire US-based team for the first time since the pandemic for a day filled with connection, compassion, and deep work. We kicked off the day with a step-in exercise, a non-verbal self-reflection icebreaker with the goal of creating more shared connection through vulnerability, connectivity tied to emotions like worry, loss, or joy! After the icebreaker, we met with someone we had previously not worked with or spoken to exchanged curious questions based on what we learned. The essence of human connection lies in the question - do you feel what I feel? Once we had created a safe space, we delved into shared work, beginning by identifying above-the-line and below-the-line traits as a reminder to check in with ourselves and maintain an open mind.
