Last year, Coach Tony Severino (right) retired at the end of the season after 37 years at Rockhurst High School. This is his longtime rival coach and friend from Blue Springs, Kelly Donohoe, presenting Coach Severino a cane adorned in the Blue Springs school colors prior to their game last fall. It’s pretty clear from the image Coach Severino got a big kick out of it. Little did we know at the time Coach Donohoe would end up being hired as Coach Severino’s successor.
