Had the pleasure of witnessing Shohei Ohtani pitch and hit against in his Fenway Park pitching debut on 5.5.22. Ohtani had it going that afternoon in what some say was the best Fenway individual performance ever. You be the judge... W, 7IP, 11ks, 0ER, 0BB, 81/99 pitches thrown for strikes and went 2-4, 1 RBI 2B, R in the 8-0 blanking of the Sox. His 8th inning double (pic in carousel) was 109mph off the bat and even knocked his own # off the green monster. He also was the 1st player since Babe Ruth in 1919 to pitch and bat in the top 4 of the lineup at Fenway.
