I came to Hope a year ago and quickly found a home. I had recently committed my life to Jesus Christ, and I was looking for answers. A lot of them. I sent in a prayer request to Hope through the website about a month before Alpha started in January 2023. Pastor Ben called me to talk about my request, and he suggested taking Alpha. He sent me a follow up email with the course link, as well as some reading material (The Story by Max Lucado) for someone who was new to christianity. Eventually, I reluctantly signed up for Alpha the week the course started. I wasn’t comfortable with sharing my story because I felt so out of place being so “young” in my faith walk but so “old” in my life as well. The group I ended up being placed with was and has been so instrumental for my growth during my faith journey.
