The next king tide is forecast for Jan. 11-13. If you’re going to check out the unusually high waters in person, make sure you pick a safe spot for viewing. Look for places that are high up with some kind of barricade to keep you safe. The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department recommends the Devils Punchbowl viewpoint, the South Jetty observation tower at Fort Stevens State Park, the Cape Ferrelo viewpoint in the Samuel H.
