Stanford Department of Medicine's Division of Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care Medicine (PACCM) didn't have a clinical trial program when Susan Jacobs started 25 years ago. Under her direction and guidance, the initiative now has two treatment trials and 30 research projects. "We've had immense growth in the number of principal investigators in our division, the number of trials that are being offered," says Jacobs.
