"It's no exaggeration to objectively say that 2021 was the worst year of my life," says Jonathan Chen, assistant professor at Stanford Department of Medicine. While balancing professional duties and homeschooling two children, Chen's mother passed away due to COVID-19 complications. To cope with the immense challenges and loss, Chen rekindled his childhood hobby of magic to entertain and delight others, which he showcased during several Stuck@Home concerts and student conferences.
