With over 1,000 votes cast through 4 rounds of competition, Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Grainger is the Champion of March Music MatchUps: Concert-Symphonic Band Masterpieces. Thank you for voting. Adapted from Grainger’s program notes: "This bunch of 'musical wildflowers' was based on folksongs collected in Lincolnshire, England, and the work is dedicated to the [original] folksingers. Each number is intended to be a kind of musical portrait of the singer who sang its underlying melody.” Link to more Lincolnshire Posy program notes: percygrainger.org/prognot6.htm
