#Florida panthers were killed by vehicle collisions. There may be a few as only 120 individuals of this population left, making each one of these deaths a tragedy for the species.
Urban sprawl has forced these cats to eke out a living in less than 5% of their historic range. In fact, large urban and agricultural developments and their infrastructure can be major barriers to all kinds of wildlife.
