Mesa, Arizona (Friday, January 5, 2024) – Cal South’s storied Olympic Development Program is in Arizona this weekend with 14 talented teams ready to hit the fields of Mesa’s Legacy Park Sports Complex for the 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West ODP Championships, being held January 5-8. Cal South has sent boys and girls teams in the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 age groups (including two teams each in the 2012 division) with dreams of building on Cal South’s incredible ODP championship legacy. Since the ODP regional championships started, Cal South has won an outstanding 110 Far West ODP titles, which have eventually led to 38 national ODP championships overall. “We have another prime opportunity here at the Far West ODP championships to show how great a job our local clubs are in developing excellent players,” said Cal South Technical Director, Steve Hoffman. “Our ODP program has been a leader in the country for years and we continue to see the highest level of talent coming thro...
