Since its inception in 2004, the Eastern States Classic has continued to grow, bringing together some of the top wrestlers and teams from across the state and beyond, with numerous out-of-state powers and decorated wrestlers making the trip to compete each year. With representatives from nearly 160 schools across eight states competing at this year's Eastern States Classic, it's no surprise that some wrestling fanatics regard this tournament as more challenging and prestigious than states. The two-day ultra-competitive wrestling event is set for Friday, Jan. 12 and Saturday, Jan. 13 at Sullivan Community College's Paul Gerry Fieldhouse in Loch Sheldrake.
