Homemade Cashew Mylk🥛
Cashew milk is hard to find at the store, but I loveeeee the taste. So I decided to make my own🥰 It was thicker than grocery store-bought and it only has two ingredients!
✨You will need:
•1 cups raw cashews
•6-8 cups filtered water
•& a little patience + a good blender
In a large bowl, soak cashews in filtered water. Rest refrigerated overnight. The following day, take the cashews, drain them, and rinse them. Place the cashews inside the blender cup and add the filtered water. Blend at low speed for 1 minute. Then increase the speed and blend for 1 more minute until frothy. Strain using a nut bag, VERY fine mesh strainer, or cheese cloth onto a clean bowl. Discard the pulp (or save for another recipe) and place cashew mylk inside a clean, preferably sterile, container. Refrigerate and consume within 3-5 days. Enjoy!
Nut mylk without preservatives spoils quickly; these are some of the tips I found online to make mylk last longer:
