Daniel Smiljkovic is the 2023 PGT Champion! It was by no means an easy run to the title for Daniel Smiljkovic who started the day as the chip leader, but in the end he was the last man standing to be crowned the 2023 PGT Champion. Smiljkovic had a rough start to the final table, doubling up Artur Martirosyan and Leon Sturm to start the day. But he quickly was able to turn it around when he eliminated Daniel Weinman in 4th place. The final table was very much the Arden Cho show as she made some highlight reel plays to bring the chip lead into heads-up play. But Smiljkovic remained patient and won the flips when they mattered the most. At a pivotal moment during their heads-up match, Smiljkovic flopped a straight with a straight-flush redraw and snapped Cho off when she moved all in.
