Subsequent versions were launched on June 12, 1993, in Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City, California, and on March 31, 2001, in the San Francisco section of Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. This ride, inspired by the “Back to the Future” series, offers a first-person experience set after the events of “Back to the Future Part III,” where participants chase Biff Tannen in a time-traveling adventure involving the stolen DeLorean.
