A 1993 television commercial for Back to the Future: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. “Back to the Future: The Ride” was a simulator attraction featured at various Universal Destinations & Experiences parks. Its debut occurred on May 2, 1991, in the World Expo section of Universal Studios Florida in Orlando. Subsequent versions were launched on June 12, 1993, in Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City, California, and on March 31, 2001, in the San Francisco section of Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. This ride, inspired by the “Back to the Future” series, offers a first-person experience set after the events of “Back to the Future Part III,” where participants chase Biff Tannen in a time-traveling adventure involving the stolen DeLorean. Steven Spielberg, aspiring to replicate the success of Disneyland’s Star Tours, was the creative consultant for this attraction.
