John Justin Jr. was a rodeo enthusiast at Fort Worth's Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show rodeo since his youth! From the early '50s, he was a passionate fan and dedicated supporter of professional rodeo athletes.
In 1959, John Justin Jr. officially joined the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, becoming chairman in 1982. His civic journey included time on the Fort Worth City Council as mayor and leading a development program for the Will Rogers Equestrian Center.
Under his leadership, the Stock Show and Fort Worth provided over $45 million in new Will Rogers Memorial Center facilities!
Mounted on his favorite steed, "Baby Blue," Justin actively participated in every Fort Worth Rodeo Grand Entry for many years.
