Led by 25 points from SM East girls basketball’s Player of the Week, senior Abigail Long, girls varsity basketball competed against SM Northwest on Friday, Jan. 12. After the first half, the Lancers trailed 22-19. After the third quarter, the Lancers were down 35-29. With one minute left in the game, the Lancers were down by 1. The Lancers outscored the Cougars in the fourth quarter but were unable to take the lead and fell to the Cougars 53-48.
