Portland area officials continue to advise people to stay home as the severe winter conditions continue, with an ice storm warning for Tuesday. More than half an inch of ice is expected from 10 a.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday, with more snow on the way too. The Portland Bureau of Transportation continues to prioritize clearing vital streets such as roads to hospitals, bus routes, emergency transport routes and major business areas. But there are several roads still shut down, largely due to downed trees. More than 40 roads closures, which account for nearly all Portland shutdowns as of Monday afternoon, are tree-related.
