Why is it so important to trim your wick? Here’s a side by side comparison on what happens if you don’t trim your wicks. The wick on the left is trimmed to the ideal 1/4”. It’s steady. The flame is the perfect size. It will melt evenly and beautifully providing a long, clean burn. Take notice of a few things about the wick on the right. ⚡️The flame is way too large. Meaning it will burn hotter faster, so your candle won’t last as long. ⚡️The carbon the untrimmed part creates black smoke + pops!
