The McKinney Visiting Artist Series presents a talk by Curtis Hidemasa Arima this Friday, January 19 at 5pm in Fine Arts 015. Arima is a metalsmith who is drawn to the transformative nature of materials and how they hold memory, emotion, and history. His jewelry and sculpture have been exhibited and published nationally and internationally, and he has taught and lectured in the US, Japan, and China.  As Chair of the Jewelry & Metal Art Program at California College of the Arts, Arima takes pleasure in helping students find their artistic identity and connection to more sustainable practices.
