When the Ridgebacks joined the OUA for the 2006-07 season, they were led by a trailblazing group of rowers and tennis players as the first two teams in school history - and they set the bar for what it would mean to be a Ridgeback going forward. While Tennis program ended in 2016, the Ridgebacks rowing team remains an important part of varsity athletics at Ontario Tech and this year, the university hosted their first OUA Rowing Championship in St. Catharines, Ont.
